Gabbs, Nevada Photos

I have work related business in Gabbs about once a week. This tiny town treats me good and fascinates me at the same time. This is heading up to the sandstone formations from US 95. These can be seen from over ten miles away on 95.
The first of two summits heading into Gabbs Valley:

The one and only bar. open 10 a.m. til ??? Cozy with a few slot machines, pool table and a wood stove for those cold windy Gabbs days:
In the same block is the only market in town. (The cafe was closed at the time of this visit. ) The store takes care of the basic needs of the people. The shopkeeper is very friendly and keeps busy, running the gas pumps across the street:
