Dana Meadows in Yosemite National Park

Hiked for a couple of hours on this inviting meadow just west of Tioga Pass. The glacial action is quite evident by the strewn boulders, moraines and  potholes left behind.
These glacial potholes are essentially the start of the Tuolumne River and are a
 good breeding ground for mosquitos.
Snow survey sign in Dana Meadows.

Worked up an appetite so I stopped at Bodie Mike's Bar-B-Q. They have really good food, steaks, burgers, and of course BBQ of all types. The salad bar is awesome and has some delicious made from scratch macaroni salad. Prices are reasonable.

For dessert you can't beat Mono Cone!
